Orientation

This Orientation course will provide new members with information on the background to ACT Wildlife as an organisation and explain our main role in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured, sick and orphaned wildlife in the ACT.

The Orientation course advises on the roles and responsibilities of members and how you can volunteer in activities such as animal rescues, caring for wildlife at home, food collecting, fundraising, phone monitoring, woodwork, sewing and public education and much more.

The fee for Orientation includes membership for the year.  It is free for current members.

Although you may attend any of our training courses at any time it is a requirement that, before members can care for wildlife they must have attended the Orientation course and species training. All species courses are open to members and non-members, anyone who would like information about native animals. Only members, who are covered by the ACT Wildlife licence to care are able to take up caring.

The Training Calendar has upcoming dates of all our courses.
